One of my favorite blogs written by Erin at BlueEyedBride, started sharing "Weekly Reads" with her readers of some of her favorite reads from through out the week! I love reading inspirational posts, and finding new blogs to fall in love with {not like I need any more to read}. So...thank you for sharing with us Erin! I have been wanting to do the same for a few weeks now, but haven't ever gotten around to it. I found so many great posts this week I just had to share! Hope you ENJOY! =)
The Northeast Girl-"A Deployment Reunion"
Maureen is a fashionista and always posts the cutest outfits ideas! I wish it wasn't so dang hot here and I would love to try and pull of her some of her outfits! :P She is a military wife and shared a video of her husband's return from the past, on this Memorial Day weekend. It is a must watch, and get your tissues ready. Her sweet daughter's face when she saw her daddy was worth a thousand words. Thanks for sharing Maureen and thank you for reminding us what this 3 day weekend is really all about!
House of Rose-"Prepare Your Kids For A Storm-What To Do In The Even Of A Tornado"
Mandy wrote a GREAT post on getting an emergency kit put together and having before the storm hits. I am so guilty of thinking "Oh, I won't happen to me or my family..." But it does people! The disaster this past week in Moore, OK was a huge reminder and eye opener for me and I have already started gathering supplies to create an emergency preparedness kit similar to Mandy's. Thank you for sharing this Mandy and reminding us of the importance of being prepared!
The Glamorous Life of a Housewife-"Disney Extravaganza-The Art of Animation Resort"
Whitney has been sharing about their recent vacation to Disney the past week or so and I have been trying to soak it all up! I can't wait for the day I can take my little man--I am taking notes now from where ever I can find them so that we'll be ready! I had never heard of the Art of Animation Resort until she wrote this post, and I am seriously amazed by all the creativity Disney has to offer and hope we can stay there one day. She is full of Disney information and if you are planning a trip any time soon...you must read all of her posts on the topic. She has a post on each day they are there, and I'm sure they will continue throughout this week as well. Check them out for sure! {This was one of Erin's picks of the week as well, and I already had it booked marked to post about too...so obviously it's a pretty good post and worth reading! ;) }
Our Life as Newlyweds-"Project Nursery: Karis Elaine's Grey & Yellow Nursery"
I can't get over the cuteness of this sweet baby girl's nursery! Emilie is so creative and did a great job with pulling everything together and making it all work together! I went to OBU with Emilie and her husband Ryan, and they are now parents to my mom's old dog Brett, but they actually renamed him Ryder! ;) How funny is that! :P Baby Karis will be here in just a few weeks! Thanks for sharing her sweet room with us Emilie!

Life around here...
- We've been staying busy around here...but are thankful for a new change of pace for a little bit! I am officially done subbing {insert sad face}, and have officially started May Intercession! I've never taking a MI class before, but so far it hasn't been bad at all...and I keep telling myself it will be so nice in 2.5 weeks to have knocked a class out of the way! WAHOO!
- We have been spending most of our evening outside between our backyard and my parents'. R got this swing from Nana & Papaw for Christmas, and we just now got it hung up outside and he loves it! It's a great swing for lil guys! =)
- I forgot to show y'all what R and KeeKee made for me for Mother's Day! I LOVE IT! I've never done his hand print on anything, so I am so thankful to have this, and in a cute frame at that!
- I found the perfect place for it at my desk! This truly is my little happy place--hoping to paint the walls this summer...we'll see! :P
- R came home from Mimi's on Monday with a little turtle! I was actually excited because I have always wanted a little turtle like this...and when I was in the 3rd grade I saved up my money to go buy one, and when we got to the pet store they told us they didn't sell them any more because they carried diseases. I was distraught!--So now, I finally get to have my pet turtle! ;)
- I am loving this time of year with my little guy! We are so blessed and I don't want to go a day without remembering that! I pray that R grows up realizing how blessed he is as well!
- It's SEASON FINALE DAY for Grey's and Scandal! WAHOO! I'm going to try to be watching LIVE (but we'll see, cause that sadly never happens!)
Happy Thursday friends! =)

America's Favorite Sport
Poppy was mowing the yard one day last week and told R when he got done, they would play a little baseball! R has always hit it off the T in the past, but Poppy wanted to throw the ball to him and see how he did...
Showing him where to line up by home plate...and where to tap his bat to make sure he was far enough or close enough up to the plate to hit the ball.Teaching him what "shoulder-width" apart meant...
He did pretty good for the most part! He just needs to keep his eye on the ball, cause when he hits it--HE HITS IT! No doubts about that! We are also working on following threw with the bat and not just stopping once he makes contact with the ball...but we'll get there! =)
& yes...he's in underwear and rain boots! Hey...I do not care! He is only young once, and it's summertime, and we live in the south! =)

Fun Times!
I think R gets out and does more than his Mama does! But that's perfectly okay...I'm so glad he gets to experience the things that he gets to experience...especially at such a young age!
Riding his four wheeler in the mud! Ha!Ryder and his sweet Mimi! =)
He was building a little pond/lake for his boat to go in! I eventually made him take his clothes off so he wouldn't get everything he owned muddy! :P
It was so pretty out one day last week, we went out on the front porch and had dinner! Then Poppy came to get R and take him to the UCA/UALR Baseball game at Dickie Stevens Park!! They had a blast! R loved the cotton candy and peanuts! :P
Then...on Friday night, they went to a home UCA game! I sure hope my lil guy loves this sport as much as the rest of his family does! =)
A little outdoor driveway fun with my lil guy on Saturday night! Things are NEVER boring around here! =)

Mother's Day 2013
I had a wonderful day spent with my lil man and my Mama and the rest of the fam! We got up and went to church, where R sat with us and played Temple Run...yeah I'm that mom, but oh well! He learns more in there than he does in his class {when he's quiet!}! We ran home, changed clothes, ate a small lunch and then headed out the door to the river!
This was his idea, not mine! ;)Best card! It even looks like R a little bit!
He literally played outside ALL.DAY.LONG with the cousins and caught this lizard at one point! I LOVE being a boy mom! =)
We had taco salad for lunch and I thought it looked pretty! :P
We took a little walk down the dock...
I made him hold my hand...that water was just going too fast for me not to hold on tight to my baby.
I had a wonderful Mother's Day and I thank the good Lord every day for making me be a mom to my sweet baby boy. He's my pride and joy and honestly can't even begin to imagine my life without him!
Fun lil flashback! ;)

{2010}
Saturday night at dinner, R was saying the prayer and said, "Thank you Jesus for making me and my mommy together..." The best way to start off my Mother's Day right there!
Hope all of you Mama's had a blessed Mother's Day as well! =)

Ponderosa South
I wanted to give my readers a heads up about a new company that seriously has some legit stuff to offer! The founder and owner is one former roommates and very best friends from college--husband!
To start off with, I just love the name...Ponderosa South.
But, I might love their slogan even more--Based on traditions.
This makes me thing of the south in general--but also families, fraternities, sororities, colleges, high schools etc.--it could go so many different ways, but no matter who you are or where you live, you live by some sort of tradition, no matter what that tradition might be!
Want to know what's even BETTER!? You can chose from ALL of the colors listed below! I was blown away by the color options, but ended up going with melon and crunchberry, but lagoon blue was a close second! Sounds fun right?! =)
They are even offering these fabulous croakies, which everybody needs a pair with summer and lake days right around the corner!
Check them out HERE and you won't regret it I promise! =)
