R's Birthday Party @ Mama D's

When I first started planning Ryder's birthday party early this year I asked him where he wanted to have his party & he said without hesitation "Mama D's house..."  Okay--well...!  So I called Mama D to tell her because I knew it would mean so much to her!  Not that we were going to have his party there, but I wanted her to know that he said that!  Well after his Sonshine party with friends & his family party & Mimi's AND his party at Snuggle Bug with all his classmates, Mama D wanted to have a party for him at her house, just like he requested!  :P  It was just me & my parents & R...& of course MacKenzie & Morgan!  We had a big time!  Mama D made some DELICIOUS Louisiana gumbo and oh my worrrd...SO good!

Ryder's Angry Bird Party @ School!

And...to top it all off, Ryder had a party at school on Monday afternoon!  I decided to go with Angry Birds because he loves the game & I found these cute plates & napkins at Target & thought the rest of the kids would like them too--& they did!  We kept things simple with ice cream, Maggie's cookies & juice boxes...but it was PERFECT!  It was so neat to be there & see all the kids interacting and how they do things!  Ryder was happy to have me there as well which made it extra special!

They all bring a small gift to give to R & for him to open during the party which I think is so sweet & thoughtful!  He got a lot of cool new stuff!

I made little goodie "buckets" for everybody with some fruit snacks, tattoos, stickers, bouncy balls & party horns inside.  I liked the chalkboard labels where I could write all the kids name on the outside & then I hung them on the bulletin board for them to take home!

We are so thankful for Snuggle Bug & what a wonderful place it is for my little man to go to school!  I couldn't be happier!  He has already learned so much & hasn't even been there a whole month!

Ryder's Family Party

The partying wasn't over on Saturday!  We had some more to do on Sunday--Ryder's actual birthday!   We got up & went to church & then headed out to Mimi & PawPaw's for a BIG birthday celebration with BOTH sides of the family!  We had a pot luck with some YUMMY food (as always) & I am so thankful for everyone pitching in and helping out!--I couldn't have done it all on my own!  This just goes to show how many people truly love my little man & I am so thankful for that!  =)

{Funny Story:  See that trash bag of stuff?  Well...a week ago Mimi asked Ryder what he wanted for his birthday & he didn't say anything, so she said, "Do you want a bag of dirt?"  & he said "Yeah!"  She asked him what he as going to do with it & he said, "Shovel it!"  So the next few days when you would ask him what he wanted, he would say, "A bag of dirt!"  So Mimi went out & got that baby some bags of dirt for his birthday so he wouldn't be disappointed!  :P  Haha!}

He got some many new wonderful things we haven't even gotten a chance to play with them all yet!  We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends & family & so many people that care & love my sweet boy!  Needless to say...he had a WONDERFUL birthday!  We both couldn't get home & unload the car fast enough to go to sleep!  Actually...we both fell asleep on the way home!  Ha!

I swear I kick myself after every party...I always fail to get pictures with him & either set of grandparents!  Sheeshh!  Maybe I will do better at birthday #4!  ;)
