Whatever you wanna call it.

While I was at OBU, I did something that I didn't realize I was doing.  Until now.

While I was down there, I always looked "down upon" the cross-town rival's students.  They went to the "public" school in town & didn't pay half of what me & my friends were paying to go to school.  Surely non of them were "Christians" or even believed in God, because if they did, then surely they would be at OBU...right?

I sure hope I wasn't the only one at OBU to kinda feel that way.

I feel SO terrible about this now, because now, I'm the one on the other side of things.

Although I'm in a different city now, I'm the one that goes to the public school & not private.  I wonder what the private school kids think of me when I tell them where I go to school.  Do they think less of me because I go to the "public" school?  I know what I thought about people when they told me they didn't go to OBU.

I now realize how wrong I was for thinking what I thought about those other students because it was so uncalled for & untrue & I had no place assuming like I did.  I feel so guilty now...How could I have thought those things about people I didn't even know because of where they went to school?

I was lucky to get to attend the private school I did.  Everyone there was LUCKY to be there.

So...this post is kind of like an apology to all of those students who I judged even if not one of them are reading.  It makes me feel better to know I got it out.

And maybe there's some of you reading who just realized your doing or have done the same thing as well.  I guess it's okay, but now that you're aware, try not to judge others so easily because of where someone goes to school, etc.

Maybe your reading & have never done such a terrible thing.  Well...good for you!

...our day!

we had a SUPER productive Friday for us!
i vacuumed, & mopped!
we went to the collision place to get my car looked at & estimated (from way back when keekee ran my car into my brother's this summer)  :O
they can't get me in until dec. 9.  and poor rex (my car) has to be there for EIGHT business days.  how am i supposed to function?  that's why i have been driving around with a dinked-up tail light THIS long.
after that, we went & got punkin's hair cut, at a different place than normal because i have been forgetting to make him an appointment & he needed one...like, yesterday.
his hair is definitely different & ya'll will notice when i get pics of the lil booger.  i personally don't like it, but everyone else does (or says they do to make me feel better)!  it better grow out before christmas card pictures time.  AGGGGHHH...
we ran into children's place next door & i got punkin some lil sneakers.  boys are hard to shop for for shoes!  ahh...so now we have something other than nike shox & church shoes!  :P
then me & my lil munchin (with no hair) had a chick-fil-a date.  we like those.  he isn't as crazy about the chicken, & fries, & sweet tea & ranch as his mama, but he likes it enough to go with me!  :P
we ran into home depot to get some paint to FINALLY paint my kitchen table.
he was being so good all day i decided to run across town to goodwill!-i was feeling lucky & was looking for some cheap 8x10 frames i could paint.  no such luck there, but i did score two end tables/night stands for 5 bucks each!  their wood on top & metal on bottom.  who knows i might spray paint them one day if i want!  but they work now just perfectly as night stands in my room!  i'm not to good to shop @ goodwill...  :P  one's trash is another one's treasure!
we came home & i tossed that boy in bed & carried my table outside (in pieces) & got to paintin'!  I got a lot done & can't wait to finish tomorrow!
keekee came over after work as punkin was waking up from his nap & we headed to her house for home made tamales that she bought!  yuummm!
we came home, punkin crashed again, & i got to busy paintin' again!
now's it's time for shower & bed!

what's your typical day like?

this was by no means "typical" but i sure do feel productive!  :P

hard to believe....14 months!

What my lil man's been up to the last month...

-He is the little copy cat!  He will try to put straws in our cups & spoons in our food at restaurants

-He can now do "knuckles" or "fist bumps" with people

-He has been doing "high five" for a while now...

-He blows kisses to people when they're leaving

-He can sorda "draw" with a pen on paper if somebody helps him

-He loves playing games on Pop's iPad

{14 months-November 10}

-He eats everything.in.sight.  I can't keep food on the plate for him!

-He is still sleeping through the night, even though he gets in bed with me in the mornings.  Some Saturdays he'll sleep till 10!

-He knows where his "bebo" (belly button) is & will look for other people's by lifting up their shirts!  :P

-Every single time we leave my parent's he cries...

-He stood in line with me for 45 minutes to vote!  He was such a good boy & I was so proud!

-He is now in the "cruisers" class at church & just loves it & is all.over.the.place they say!

-Understands when I say "stop"...& usually stops!  Ha!

-Boy does this sweet boy have a temper though!  I have gotten to where I either a)ignore it & let him do his thing b)swat his leg or c)take him to his room & let him do his thing & then get happy!

-The temper includes kicking, hitting, mean faces & arching his back & throwing his head back.

-After I (or anyone else) gets on to him, he'll lay his head down on your leg etc.

-He tries to plug things into the wall (even when they are covered) just because he's seen other people do it

{7 months-April 10}

-He will attempt to brush his hair with a brush

-He even tries to put Amy's headband on his head

-He finally shakes his head "yes" instead of always no!  This is so much fun now!

-He LOVES his sippy!

-Whenever I swat/spank him he grabs that area like "Oh mommy..why'd you do that?  That hurts!"

-This kid can dance like a fool when you play music!  Any kind too!

-When you say "bam!" he claps his hands twice!
-He has just started to shake his head "yes" & means it most of the time
-He gives the sweetest OPEN mouth kisses
-He is wearing mostly 12 month clothes but some 18 months
-Still in a size 4 diaper
-The kids weighs 32 pounds.  HOW IS THAT?

{2 months-November 09}

-He will give you his paci when I ask him for it

-If I tell him to go get a book he'll go get a few & bring them to me

-He signs "more" when he wants more of something

-Obeys "put that back" and puts it in the EXACT same spot he got it...

-He knows what shoes, socks & feet are & will bring them to me when I ask

-He can climb up on a bench at KeeKee's house & some furniture here...

-He has just started to sit still for me to read him a book at night, & turns the pages when I tell him to!

My Preppy Punkin'!

We ran out back this morning before we left for church to snap a few pics!

This face he is making is his new "look"!  He will do that towards anything & everything, but especially when you ask him where something is, or when he sees something he gets excited about!  Here a dog was barking on the other side of the fence & just did NOT know what to think about it!

Punkin' went to his Daddy's today & had a big'ole time as always!  They went to Pet Smart & just played outside!  He never takes a nap over there so he is always OUT by the time I get out of the driveway when I pick him up!

I took a short little nap today & caught up on things around the house from being so busy & just exhausted the last few days!  I sure was glad to get my Punkin' back though!  I seem to be bored without him!
