KeeKee & Poppy's New Addition

A year ago September, we lost my parent's Corgi, Trixi to kidney failure.  She had been such a great dog to us and were sad to see her go.  Mom got a new dog not a week later, a Golden Doodle named Brett.  He was a sweet dog, but never could get the hang of potty training, so mom gave him to a sweet couple that I knew from OBU!  He seems to be a happy little pup &amp with Ryan and Emilie; is actually gonna be a big brother to a sweet little sister in the next couple of months!  =) 

Mom has been saying she was going to get another Corgi when she got out of school in May...but she got word of a little pup for sale that someone got as a Christmas present, that they just didn't want.  

Mom and Ryder went to look at her on Wednesday.  My mom told R, "We aren't taking her home, but if we like her, then we can come back another day and get her."  Before they even got there, R looked at my mom and said, "KeeKee, we LIIIIKE her!"  So sweet!  But, sure enough, they really did like her and she seemed to like them too!  She even fell asleep in Ryder's arms when they were visiting her!

We all went to get her Friday afternoon after school...R was super excited and couldn't wait to get her home to show her around KeeKee and Poppy's!

Her name is "Sister"! ;)  Isn't she pretty?!  She is so sweet!  Just calm enough...but also knows how to play and have fun!

I think KeeKee finally found a good match for her and Poppy...and R too!  So glad to have Sister around!

How baby things have changed!

As I was strolling through the baby section at Target this morning, I saw SO many things that I wasn't familiar with!  Yes, my baby will be four in September, but could things have really changed that much since he was a little bit, and I shopped in the baby section at Target on a weekly basis?  Yes, they have!  Even right after he was born, stuff came out that I was like, "Oh man...I wish that would have been around when Ryder was born."  Things are constantly changing, and I'm sure they will be even more different my next time around!

I've always loved this Boon grass drying rack...So cute & practical!  They are actually on sale this week!

 & these "Twigs" that you can stick in the grass to hold bottle nipples and lids etc...pretty cute!

 This were brand new right when Ryder was born, and you couldn't find there very many places.  Now, they are every where, and I think they would have been great for a little one!  Especially since wipes easily dry their skin out..these are perfect and nice and gentle on their soft skin.

 Let's talk about these cool little boogers!  So jealous of the Mama's these days that can just hand these to their kids in the grocery store & call it dinner!  Nope...didn't have these "back in the day"!  ;)  I like the wide variety of these, that you can buy them in organic if you want, and the convince of them!  They've been around for a while now...but they're still cool!  

& how about these mounts you can put in your cabinets to hold all those pouches?  Even better!

But what if you want to make your own baby food, but want the easy accessibility of the travel pouches?!  Well, there's something for that too!

This little machine helps you fill up your own pouches, with your OWN baby food!  You can buy the new pouches at Target as well!  I seriously love this!  I made a lot of R's baby food, and want to do so again in the future.  This is the best of both worlds!

I know this was a random post...but I am just amazed!  This was also for all you new Mama's out there--enjoy what's out there these days and get all this cool stuff since I couldn't!  :P

I drug sweet boy to TJ Maxx again...& while we were in the dressing room, he decided he wanted to try on my infinity scarf that I was wearing!  I think it looks pretty good! ;)

 R got a Jake and the Never Land Pirate with a note written inside it for Friday letter day at school....& some Star Wars stickers from a birthday party!  He was proud of both!

So glad today is Friday! I love my weekdays because I get to follow a routine, but I need that break every once & a while...{uhhh...maybe every five days?!  :P}

I didn't sub today...instead I went to do a whale presentation with one of my professors.  It really is fun & BONUS POINTS!!  WOOT!  ;)  R was ready to see me when I got him from school.  I got him his Friday Sonic sweet tea before getting him and he was excited!  They had a birthday party at school today, and for R's Friday letter this week I got him a Jake & the Never Land Pirate's "handy dandy notebook" {like from Blue's Clues} and wrote him a note inside...he thought that was way cool!  Worth all 100 pennies!  ;) :P

 {All teachers need one of these every once & a while...had to steal it from one of my mom's co-workers when I saw her drinking one of her own! ;)}

Monster Truck Rally

Last Saturday night we took R to the monster truck rally!  It really was a lot of fun...It was more of a competition than like a show, so we messed up on that part, but I'm glad R got to experience it! =)  You might be redneck if... ;)

GRAVVVVVE DIGGERRRRR!  He won every competition pretty much!
