Project 365...Week 12

{March 18}

 Punkin' had a big day playing with his daddy outside & seriously smelled like a stinky goat when I went to get him!  We stopped by KeeKee & Pops' to say hello!  These are Ryder's "dangerous tape measures" he likes to play with at KeeKee's!  Ha!

{March 19}

 The weather was too perfect for us to not grill out (& I'll take any excuse to go to the new Kroger) So we had chicken kabobs, yummy pineapple & also some zucchini!  We even ate outside it was so nice!

{March 20}

I got a little trim of a haircut & Ryder stayed with KeeKee.  Afterwards we made a trip to TJ Maxx & found a few spring things I've been wanting!  I got R this hat & as we were driving thru Chick on the way home he said, "I'm a gangsta" & turned around & saw this!  I about DIED!  I'm afraid I have used that word before & he tucked it away & knew when to use it!  ;)

It was a nasty rainy day...yet again.  We met Poppy at Panera for lunch & then I told R I would take him to Jump Zone.  Well, there wasn't an open spot in the parking lot, so to make up for it I said I'd take him to WM for a toy...& this is what we ended up with!  #happycamper

 Getting to sleep in this week and not have to set an alarm once was probably one of my favorite things!

We had a little craft day at our house and R LOVED it!  He knew how to use scissors and I had no idea!

Finally some pretty weather...and we got KeeKee & Pops to go with us to the zoo!  R loved it!  I'm glad I hadn't taken him before now, because he could really appreciate it at this age and genuinely cared about the animals!  Then we went to Pei Wei for lunch!  WAHOO!  One of my favs!  {more pics to come!}

Spring Break Brain Dump

• Our Spring break hasn't gone quite as planned...just because of ALL.THE.RAIN.  I pictured us playing outside all morning, making lunch, eating it outside...playing some more outside, coming in to take a bath and crashing for naps.  Hasn't happened.  :/
• Typing on my lap top keyboard is an adjustment from my desktop.  Weird...I know.
• R has actually done really well being cooped up in the house.  I have limited out TV time & he has really been doing well!  I know he misses school and his friends though!
• Speaking of friends...he confessed to kissing a girl in his class to me tonight.  I asked him to show me how he kissed her and he showed me and I literally fell over from laughter!  
• Tonight his prayer was, "Dear Jesus, Thank you for my Papa's leg.  Tell the doctors to fix it and tell him to feel better.  Amen.  I love you Poppy"  Seriously, so sweet.
• We slept in way to late this morning.  Poppy called and asked us to lunch at Panera.  Dad told us to go to Jump Zone or Play World but when I drove by those places the parking lots were TOO full for my liking (and I had already told R that's where we were going) so I talked him into a "ten dollar toy" inside WM instead!  ;)  We never cruise the toy aisle, so it was kinda fun to see what he was interested in that he doesn't have!  We ended up leaving with a 5 dollar golf set!  =)
• Mama got some SkinnyGirl lip plumping lip gloss & I like the color and it definitely makes your lips tinkle, but was NOT a fan of the chip packaging and hard as a rock plastic applicator.  Who wants to rub that all up on their lips?
• When I "think I get hungry" I'm trying to just go fill up my water bottle with more water!  {Have I mentioned I haven't had any Sonic cokes & only a few cokes in general from restaurants here and there since Valentine's Day?  This is seriously HUGE for me.}
• I'm trying so hard not to think or care about the projects I have due next week.  :/
• Last week I was all into DrawSomething.  Yeah, I'm already over it.  It was fun, but way to time consuming and I got all the colors I could get and I didn't really have anything else to work for.  Ha!
• I pulled out all of R's spring clothes today and oh my word!  I thought he didn't have "any" and was seriously gonna have to go naked half the time.  Negative.  I am almost embarrassed.  A lot of it is 2T stuff and I figured it won't fit half way through the summer anyways though, so I guess we're okay.
• If you want some true weight loss inspiration and some brutally honest truth {and every once and a while a chance to see two cute lil boys, one of which shares the EXACT birthday with my baby boy} then head on over to Mama Laughlin's blog and catch up on her amazing story!  
• It's not supposed to rain again today, but since it's so wet outside I think we're gonna stay in and try and do some fun arts and crafts...which should get interesting!  Just making memories with my boy!  ;)

Wedding FUN!

I experienced one of the prettiest, most well thought out & FUN weddings I've ever been to on Saturday!  My parents were invited as well, but with my dad's torn ACL, it was going to be a bit much for him to go.  I was looking forward to spending the evening while some "old" friends!

 Let me just throw this out there...this is 3/4 of the 2006 All-Girl Stunt Group State Champs....yeah I'm still kinda proud!  We all retired after that!  :P

 There was a photo booth & it was seriously SO much fun!  We did it like 5 times.  & was even cooler was you got to keep one strip of yourself & the other strip of the same pics went into a scrapbook for the bride & groom & we got to decorate the pages & write them a little note!  So fun!

{This was our first experience...we weren't sure what to expect!  :P}

The venue was fabulous & so elegant yet not over done!  The food was FAB...especially the fruit!  I ate too much cake, too many cupcakes, and too much candy from the candy bar...but I think we all successfully danced off everything we ate on the dance floor that night!  If you even SORDA know the bride, you wouldn't have expected anything less!  ;)  I reminded me of old times!  At one point, during a wine water break, Dell looked at me and said, "Are we young, or old, because I feel young!"  Seriously though...one of the funnest weddings I've been too! 

 Loved their little "HITCHED" sign & I loved that we all had red & white pom poms to wave as they left!  Very fun & unique!

Project 365...Week 11

I let my little mister play outside & before I knew it one piece of clothing was coming off & then another & then another...& this is what we ended up with!  He did not even care that that water was nasty!  He had a BLAST & that's what counts!  =)

I got my MOH dress for Tonya's wedding in the mail from the big ATL.  LOVE it!  I was hiking it up in the back in this pic to make it the correct length...can't wait to wear it & stand beside a beautiful bride in May!

In my Writing Acquisitions class, all we do is create "Units" that help us incorporate writing into our content area.  BLAH right?  This was my second one to do & I made a B on the first which I thought was umm...an A so I was happy to get this on my last Unit.  I mean these things are any where from 40-50 pages about WRITING!  :O

We stayed up a little later than usual & I let him make play dough!  It was a lot of fun & I seriously LOVE the play dough!

Saturday was a big day!  We went & had lunch in LR with some HS friends which was a lot of fun!  Came home, took a quick nap, then Mama headed out to a beautiful wedding!  (more on that later!)

 I took Punkin' to the Library for the first time & I was seriously kicking myself for not taking him sooner!  He LOOOOVED it!  He played quietly while I roamed the aisles picking out books for us to read this week before bed!  I think we are going to make it a weekly thing!  He even got his very own Library card!!

{March 9}

Mommy had a little nigh tout on the town!  Abby was home for Spring Break & it was also the day before her birthday...so we celebrated!  So good to see some of my PS!

{March 10}

Ryder went to his first kid birthday party with his Dad at the movie theatre!  He seemed to have had a lot of fun!  Poppy had been in Park City, Utah snow skiing at the end of the week, and on Friday it was a bit hot out and he hit a patch of slush that sent him flying...AND...his skis didn't come off, which resulted in this.  He was "that guy" on a stretcher being carried down the mountain on a snow mobile.  We will have more answers tomorrow after his appointment with the orthopedic surgeon.
