snuggle bug christmas party 2014

The last day of school for me and R was also the same day as his Snuggle Bug Christmas Party!  IT is always a big deal!  Mr. Jerry cooks yummy meats and we all bring the rest!  

The gifts that the parents get every year from Snuggle Bug is always something to treasure!  This year it was SO meaningful!  A penciled portrait of my sweet boy!  All of the parents were crying when we opened them up!  So special!  I need to go pick out a frame for it soon!

They each exchange gifts with someone, and this year Ryder and Ian traded.  Ian loves Star Wars, so R picked him out a mask.  Ryder loves his tug boat!--I'd never seen anything like this before, but it was a huge hit!

Ryder with Ms. Jennifer.  She has been with us since June or July and is leaving to go back to school.  We are sad to see her go, but thankful for her time spent with the sweet Snuggle Bugs!

Ryder and his best friend, Dexter.  They have been at Snuggle Bug together since they both started, and are zoned to go to the same elementary school next year for Kindergarten.

The week before Christmas Break was Ryder's Star Week at school.  I went to read The Pioneer Woman's Charlie and the Christmas Kitty to his class.  Ryder wanted me to make "dog treats" for his friends to have after snack...and I settled on making Puppy Chow!  They all LOVED it! 

This is what my classroom looked like on the Friday before Christmas Break!  It was pretty nice, but I never said that! ;)  I actually spent the WHOLE day addressing Christmas cards!  

We had a Christmas party at lunch and we got these from our administrators!  We were all so surprised and thought they were just fabulous!  I think we were all expecting just a screen print or something!  This goes above and beyond!   I love being an Eagle!  

Pumpkin Patch with Snuggle Bug [2014]

For the past two years I've been working/in school/teaching and unable to "take off" to go to the Pumpkin Patch with Ryder's school, but luckily this year I had the ability to take off and go with them!  It had rained pretty hard the day before so we had to reschedule for a few days later, and I'm so glad we did.  It was still a bit wet, but much better than it would have been.

He was basically a pro at all the play places since this was his third year visiting.

We had pumpkin cookies and decorated water to celebrate Ms. Carol's birthday while we were there!  Then we all headed out to eat lunch together at Chick-Fil-A!  

5th birthday @ snuggle bug!

Ryder finally got his Octonaut birthday party he has been wanting for what seems like FOREVER! :P

We had his party at school the day after his real birthday...and it was perfect!  All of his friends were so sweet and wonderful and so happy for Ryder to be celebrating his birthday!

KeeKee made his wonderful cake!  Just like she made all of me and Uncle G's cakes when we were little! =)

This is Ms. Cassy--she has been at Snuggle Bug since Ryder started over two years ago...and she recently got married to man that lives out in Utah...so she moved out there a few weeks ago!  We are so happy for yet, yet sad we lost her at the same time!  She sent this to Ryder's teacher on Ryder's birthday!  How sweet huh!?

Only a week and a half behind...but here is R's first day of school and last first day as a preschooler!

I can't believe this is his third year at Snuggle Bug!  We have been SO blessed by that place and I will cry the day we have to say good bye.

Poppy took R to school for me...he has always done this and I am so thankful since me and KeeKee have always had to be some where else!  They went to Chick to grab some of their favorite breakfast together!

AETN field trip

Ryder's school was asked to take part in a Nature Walk and activity at AETN to help them develop a new iPad app.  They have a lady named Amy who visits their school ever so often and she has a trunk/suitcase FULL of iPads!!  So, they all call her the "iPad lady!"  So funny!

I was so glad that I got to take part in the field trip with R and his friends!

We got to tour the building which was something I'd never gotten to do before--even though it's basically right in our backyard!  The kids even got to go into the studio where they got to see themselves on TV!  They LOVED it!

They got to learn about different "habitats" in nature and how we all have a different habitat!  R found a baby toad and was showing it to all the girls!  Ha!

They got to do a fun activity after coming inside from the Nature Walk!  It was a fun day for every one and we are so thankful to have this opportunity!
