Ryder's Room...and a few of him of course!

Today has been a good day! Ryder slept from 430 am to 10 am! WHAT? Yeah...we are VERY blessed! I woke up thinking it was 8 or so...but was shocked when I looked at the time. It was weird starting our day that late, but also very nice! These are a few from last night. We both ended up staying up pretty late with him in bed with us just laughing & cuddling with our sweet boy!

We love our tummy time....and mommy & daddy's chest. If we place his head on our upper stomach, he ALWAYS makes his way up to our necks! Precious!
Inchin' my way up there!
He NEVER stretches his legs out all the way, so when we saw this, Daddy was like "Where's the camera!?"
Sleeping today while mommy did things around the house.

Now for the tour of Ryder's room. I planned on doing this WAY before he was born, but I'm glad I waited! Now it is broken in & pretty much how it's gonna stay!
The wreath we hung on the door @ the hospital. I didn't want a generic one of course. I bought everything, and then my mom put it all together. The little chalkboard has his name weight, and length written on it.
Our lil outfit we wore coming home from the hospital.
The view when you walk in the room. My Nana made the curtains that match the bed skirt.
Glider rocker, and lil night stand for everything Mommy might need while feeding.
Shelving & decoration on the wall.
His crib, that he has been in once so far!
The letters above his crib. I wanted something modern, and different of course!
The bumpers & matching blanket that Nana made.
This armoire was made for me when I was born for my nursery. Mimi stripped & stained it for Ryder room. Where the fabric bulletin boards are used to be mirrors, and I just recovered them with some left over fabric from the curtains & added some matching ribbon, and I LOVE how it turned out!
Our antique dresser/changing table. It is the perfect size, and I'm glad I waited around for EXACTLY what I was looking for! I wasn't planning on having a mirror, but I'm glad we do!
The bottom of the dresser which is pretty much what sold me...JUST enough room for BASKETS! Definitely into baskets ALL over the house right now!
His RIDICULOUS closet! Of course organized by month, and then by shirts, pants, onezies, outfits & footed-pajamas.
& last but not least....sweet lil prince sleeping again! GOOD NIGHT friends! =)

...I just realized I hadn't put up my finish product!!!

This is my favorite one I made.
All the hangers before I put them in the closet!
Just a few of them to see how they hang!

sweet SURPRIESES!

So...Thursday when I got home from work, and running to the grocery store for a few things, Jake told me to come look @ an outlet in Ryder's room...I went in there to find...

THE ROOM PAINTED!!
I was so happy, and so surprised! I cried b/c I felt bad...I had been nagging him all day a/b stuff he was going to get done this weekend before some of his stuff he was going to get done. I am so blessed to have such a sweet husband, who knows how much I like surprises!
Here's all the fabrics (minus the solid brown minky) The middle is going to be my curtains & bed skirt. The circles & leopard print will be on the bed with the solid brown minky.
The letter pictures again..you can kinda see the green behind the letters now...that match PERFECTLY with the walls, that I just eye-balled myself!
And this is what my Saturday afternoon looked like on the back patio! I lasted a/b two hours all together today! Not bad for a pregnant girl! Ha!

We're going over to my hairdresser's house tonight. Jake went to HS with her & her husband Brice. They have the cutest lil kids Macey & Jackson (Champ). They just bought a new house & we're gonna grill out. It should be fun!

I have also vacuumed, dusted, some laundry, & hand washed some dishes today! GO ME! I feel like I have been pretty productive, and got a lil color to my ghostly-white body!

1st baby "craft" project!

It was hard to get up this morning, but I got around, & headed to work. It was a good day though. We had 4 people out in the office, and 3 of their were in my area...so it was kinda quiet & felt slow, even though it wasn't with the phones ringing OFF the wall!

I had YUMMY Stoby's for lunch! Chicken salad pita! I don't like ordering take-out too much for lunch during the week. I would like to have leftovers everyday but when we don't cook the night before, I don't!

I went straight to Hobby Lobby after work to get some scrapbook paper (which was 50% off!) & some frames to finish/start Ryder's name craft project!

Jake cooked pot roast for dinner in the crock pot, and it was SO good! I should just let him cook from now on! Ha!--SERIOUSLY though! We are still drinking pink lemonade around here from the wedding, but I made some sweet tea for a change...that's something I CAN'T burn!

I'm watching The Bachelorette now...and SO proud of myself for blogging TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!

Few pictures to not make the post so boring...

This is the project I worked on tonight! I'm missing the other "R" b/c I haven't found it yet! They are just regular pictures of stuff that look like letters! I wanted to do this to be different of course, and i figure it's pretty modern & I'm really happy with how they turned out! They are laying on top of a fitted crib sheet the color his walls WILL be, hopefully very soon!
Here's a close up of the "R"--I love the frames, that I got @ Hobby Lobby, you can't tell but the layer b/w the green & picutre is like a cream & light light brown looking paper that just breaks it up a little. I was going to do brown paper where the green is but I figure that would be too much brown with the dark frames--& this will draw them to the walls!
Here's the mirror I found @ Kirkland's for 25 BUCKS! I was so impressed with my deal! & I really do like it, the brown, and again...MODERN. Hopefully it will go good above his changing table.

Good Night for now!

Weekend's Over...

Jake worked yesterday SO I stayed around her most of the day & laid out a little bit on the back patio. I had a perfect little set up with my radio, fan, lawn chair, 64 oz. mug of water, Twilight, and a Birthing Book. I only lasted an hour or so...sadly. I do have slight tan-lines though.

Mom & I went to Target last night, I had to exchange a few things, and got a few things I needed for the house, as well as some green fitted sheets for Ryder's bed, and a BUNCH of hangers for all his clothes he already has! I also found a pretty BIG mirror for Ryder's room, that I plan on putting above his changing table for only TWENY FIVE bucks! I was so excited. I also found a sign that says "I Love You To The Moon & Back" It was kinda ugly but I just HAD to buy it!

I was ready for Jake to crawl in bed with me this morning for a few hours before we had to get up & get ready for church! Church was really nice this morning, I enjoyed it!

Since we were on THAT side of town, I talked Jake into just going to Wal-Mart to look @ their cribs, b/c the old Wal-Mart didn't have ANYTHING. I had found somethings I liked online, but of course they were currently out of stock in the color I want. We found the bed, and he said, "I'll get it for you today if you want." Well, DUH! I liked it alot more than I thought I would too...and of all places...WAL-MART! I didn't want to have to pay a FORTUNE for a crib ya know, so we were both very pleased!

We laid on the couch together this afternoon & watched a movie...well he did, I slept or blog stalked. We went to his parent's around three thirty for a surprise party for a lady that works for her. It was alot of fun, and of course YUMMY food!

Ryder continues to be such an ACTIVE baby! I told Jake he was doing gymnastics today & he said, "He is NOT doing gymnastics, he is KICKBOXING!" Ha! I thought that was pretty funny! He is just now starting to kinda get up under my ribs, which makes me like to think he is head down or @ least partially, which would be NICE!--minus the whole feet in the ribs thing!

I wasn't going to dare ask Jake to put the crib up tonight, I was just happy to have it, but he kinda said he was going to...so I didn't let him get away with not putting it together!

Someone didn't like me taking pictures, but HEY! This only happens ONCE!

Putting this finishing touches on the crib! I'm VERY happy with how it turned out!

I got this Vera diaper bag on Tuesday when I went to my Dr.'s appointment in Little Rock. I think it's cute enough for me to carry, but boy-ish enough for Ryder!

Last but not least...please ignore my hair/face...I just told Jake to take this last minute a few minutes ago before I got on here to blog. Me & lil Ryder-Man @ 27 weeks!

So long for now! Not far from bed & then work in the morning! Maybe I'll try to blog two days in a row! We'll see!

one more week of clueless-ness!

This is officially the last WHOLE week, of not knowing what we're having! I'm super excited...and April first will be here before we know it!

Saturday mom & I went shopping for fabrics for the nursery! I went in thinking...black/white & green. Not like lime...but grown up cutsy/pastel-ish green. Ended up decided on browns & greens. It was just too perfect. This are all the swatches...I'm probably not going to do anything with the top one, but it matches & we liked it. It all started with the second one. My whole plan was to find the green minky (soft chenille with dots) & go from there. But once I was so the brown...I was like "This is it!" So..We had the minky & the circles, and then who would have ever thought a)I would have found & b)I would have LIKED a green cheetah/leopard print. It matches SO SO SO perfect though!!! & adds some lightness to the group!! Beside the minky is some green & brown fringe we found for like the bottom of a lamp or something.

This is the leopard as a whole.

The circles as a whole. (It just looks so different as a big piece!)
& this is like a suede kinda & the swirls are kinda indented in. I'm going to recover a glider chair & ottoman with this.

I don't have a whole picture of the minky, but you get the picture!
I feel as though these fabrics are grown up & I guess...sophisticated & modern but the minky adds to it and makes it JUST ENOUGH baby! Oh how i LOVE the minky!!!!!!
So I found this cute lamp (with an ugly lamp shade I know..) & Goodwill for like 3 bucks today. I figured I would spray paint it brown, and find a new shade to cover in one of my fabrics!
Here's few from the bottom I just love the modern looks of the string off/on switch!

I had a few more new purchases today, that I'll try to add tomorrow (AKA--this week) & I have officially decided on a crib & changing table, so I'll try to put that up too!

i wish i was doing better...

I apologize once again for not being the super blogger I planned on being! I apparently value sleep more than updating my blog. I think I have alot going on, but I really don't compared to what it's going to be like in AUGUST!! =)

Anyways...few updates. Jake sold his house/land & will be moving into a rent house of my dad's the first of April. Which reminds me, I had rescheduled my appt. from March 30th, to April 1st...YES, April Fool's Day, but oh well...I'm going to tell them not to fool me about what it REALLY is, and I won't fool with ya'll either, because this is a pretty serious matter! :P

We are still pretty stuck on Ava. But that would mean  four out of seven letters in her first & last name would be vowels. Ha! I saw the name Aven in a magazine the other day..but Jake isn't too fond of it.

My Nana (mom's mom) is going to make my bedding for the baby and I have pretty much officially decided (even though we haven't gone to pick out fabrics, that it's mainly going to be baby lime-green & black & white. Don't freak out about the BLACK part...I just don't want to do BROWN like EVERYONE else! & the green is DIFFERENT as well! Girl...I will accent with some pinks, and boy...some blues...but mainly GREEN!  I'll put up some pics later of what I bought on Saturday at a few stores. But this is what I'm going for...or very similar.

I still...I mean WE still haven't decided on what color furniture. I always thought...NEVER white!! But I have seen a few white furniture sets that I really like! & I like the way it looks with these colors of bedding. Jake said a big no on black, which my mom made a good point, that would be ALOT of black! I have my bookshelf in my room here at the house, that is now ORANGE, that I think I will either paint white, or black.

We are having company over for dinner tonight...

This week is going to be kinda Jake-less...Tonight he is working, I saw him after work at the first house. Tomorrow he is going out with guys from work in the Union for St. Patrick's day, Wednesday I think we are going to pack up his house...Thursday he works again, Friday he has rehearsal dinner & then lil after party for a wedding, then Saturday-Sam & Chelsea's wedding. Then the week starts all over again! AAAHHHH!! Life of dating a fireman huh?-

Gotta go get G from the country club...I will update later (maybe not tonight) with pictures of cute stuff I have bought, and other randoms!
