friday ramblings

Popping in to say hello on this wonderful Friday!!!  We've had a fun, yet semi busy week!  Trying to soak it all in before summer leaves us!

R isn't really concerned about books as the library as much as he is about playing!!!

I love being a mom and all the surprises that it brings to every aspect of life! ;)

We visited the fountain downtown for a little picnic lunch the other day!

& I've been visiting the coffee shop every chance I get!  I can't explain the way it makes me feel really...I leave so calm, collected and refreshed!  It's good for my soul!

...not to mention the coffee is top shelf!!

random summer day with mom

Just a few errands around town with my lil man!  Getting my oil changed...and yes he doesn't have shoes on.  {MY GAWWSH}--yeah I was NEVER going to be "that mom" but I so was! :P

He is always such a trooper running around town with me!  Thankful for him!

We went to Back Achers Ranch one night for dinner...it's a new(er) restaurant in town that is connected to horse stables and riding arena.  Ryder's been out there before for a birthday party which was a lot of fun, but we'd never been for dinner.  It was a hit!

Ryder had been eyeing this rocket ship at TJ Maxx for weeks and I finally got it for him as a surprise one day while he was at school!  He hasn't stopped playing with it since!  His creativity and imagination amazes me sometimes!

Just want to pop in on this lovely Monday!  Summer is already flying by--I thought we would be "bored" but we haven't even slowed down enough to go to the pool yet!

I spent my weekend away in Nashville with some lovely ladies celebrating this Bride To Be!  I can't wait to share more of the trip with you guys but here are some highlights!

rainy friday randoms

Last full week of school and I'm pretty sure the teachers are over it just as much as the kids!!  It's fun but it can be exhausting!!  

I have been going to bed at the same time as R this week and STILL exhausted when waking up!  :(  Not a fun feeling!  Looking forward to the weekend for sure!

I'm on a scrambled egg kick right now...and LOVE having farm fresh eggs at the house!  I always kick myself for not even trying eggs until college. :(  I know....right?!

This little guy thinks he has to have his picture taken with the toilet paper every time we go to Target now!  Ha!

A teacher had a birthday this week, and she LOVED Dr. Pepper--so someone made her Dr. Pepper cupcakes!  They were delish!!

This is my creamer jam.  I've said before I've tried other things and they just don't do the job!  We'll--look who got a makeover!!

Sometimes, during the last few days of school...you have to use a paper clip as a bobby pin in your big, rainy day, frizzy, side-braid hair!  My kids were making fun of me! :P

...and then you have one of your sweet girls fish tail braid your hair! ;)

Got my new Tervis in the mail yesterday!  I love turqoise so this cup is perfect for me!  Code for FREE SHIPPING is still good for two days!  {MAY14}

life around here!

Just an update on some things that have been going on around here lately!  We are busy & finally in a real routine & it feels great!

Meet T-Rex..."my" bearded dragon I am in charge of in the classroom I am long term subbing in!  I won't touch him...yet!  I let the kids deal with him! :P

Nana got me this "Tree of Life" necklace for Christmas and I just got to wear it this past week!  It was made by a lady at her church...I got a lot of compliments on it!

...& y'all all know I was sad about this one.  I sure hope things turn around soon, but I'm not so sure that's gonna happen.  :/

We kept Sister for the weekend...not exactly my cup of tea, but it went fine!  R enjoyed having a little buddy at the house with us but she was ready to go back home to KeeKee & Poppy's!

We tried out a new place in town called "Hog Wild" and R LOVED it!  We were so glad that Pooh was in town and was able to play with us for a little bit!  She is the best person to "play" with!  =)

What?  Don't you have Ninja Turtles in your house on Sunday mornings to help you get ready?!

R went to the Big Buck Classic with his dad on Sunday and got to lots of cool things like climb a rock wall, pet a baby alligator and ride an electric bull!
