Will you join me?! #shereadstruth

I know I have mentioned She Reads Truth many, many times before!...BUT--today I want to invite you to get involved like never before.  I want to share the awesome goodness of this movement yourself!

We just finished the Fresh Start plan, but today...we are starting a new one called Soul Detox (so, it's just the perfect time for you to jump right in)!  It isn't written by #shereadstruth like the last few have been, but it's a plan on the You Version (Bible) app.  I have done it before, and it is definitely a life changer!  I looked back over my journal of notes today, from doing it last summer, and it just got me even more excited about doing it again--& I want YOU to join me!

HERE is a video on exactly how to get started!

If you don't want to watch the video here are a few easy steps to follow!

  • If you don't already have the Holy Bible (YouVersion) app on your phone or iPad, download it from the app store (or you can always visit YouVersion online)
  • Set up an account and get things started.
  • Click on "Plans" and then search for "Soul Detox"
  • The plan should pop up & you want to click "Start Plan"
  • If you start the plan today you will be on the same track as the rest of the #shereadtruth community.
  • You can hop on over to the #shereadstruth website and join in on the conversation going on in the comments section every day!
This community, and the different plans have been such a blessing to me the last couple of months.  Each plan keeps getting better and better and I find myself digging deeper and deeper into the word and  I LOVE it and can't seem to learn enough!

So, would you join me?!

If you want to do so, let me know in the comments section!

Half-Way Haul

  • Not a lot going on around here!  Yesterday was an adventurous day...I am on campus ALL.DAY.LONG and it started to snow right when I had to walk the farthest on campus.  Boo. The banks were closing, so dad came & got my keys to get R's carseat out of my car so that he could go get him from school.
  • They had a big go time together...went to chick for lunch, got Poppy a Starbucks, went and said hi to the people still working at the bank, & tried to go to the toy store but it was closed!  :/

  •  I came home after that class so I could snuggle up with my boy!  I couldn't stand the thought of him not being at school & me not being with him!
  • I could tell by his voice last night that his "barking" cough was on it's way back...sure enough around 2 am, it make it's appearance.  Hate that thing!  It makes R cry (& he hardly EVER cries about anything!) & he just looked at me and said, "I know there's nothing you can do to help me..."  That sent me into instant cry mode.  What a HORRIBLE feeling as a mother, but honestly, what do you do?
  • I decided to stay home with him today.  I didn't already have a sub job lined up, and I looked at that as a sign, even though I had to turn one down a job this morning.
  • We had a good day at home together...and he actually hardly coughed at all!  It's just at night.  Boo.

  •  He cracks me up...this is a cash register he got for Christmas, and he calls the mic button "Siri"!  How funny is that?!

  • This is my new favorite snack...(& strawberries too).  I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, but YUMM!!
  • Tomorrow is a new day...two more days in the "school" week!  Looking forward to the weekend, just hoping R's cough clears up, I hate it for him!
  • I haven't watched The Bachelor from this week.  Or Scandal from last week.  And now I'm behind on Nashville from tonight as well.  But...who got time of dat?  Not this Mama!  & I actually kinda like it that way!  ;)

Project 365...Week 2 {Round 2}

{January 6}
We recently started (re-watching) an old Yo Gabba Gabba DVD...and R remembered this lil fellas he had gotten for his birthday, that were put up in his room.  Well, they are now essentials to going to sleep at night!  ;)

{January 7}
I love just looking at this sweet boy--especially while he sleeps.

{January 8}
We are loving having a TV in my room!  It has made things easier in the mornings!  R loves it too!  =)

{January 9}
While doing my QT, I found a little treat in my journal from a special little someone!  ;)

{January 10}
 JB concert.  Need I say more?  More dets coming soon.

{January 11}
Friday  night at home & in bed.  Couldn't be happier. Working on stuff on the computer, cuddled up next to my boy in his footed pajamas watching Yo Gabba, while listening to the rain outside.

{January 12}
 I love getting up on Saturday mornings with this fella & taking him to get donuts!  Check out that outfit!  I just had to document!  ;)

Project 365...Week 1 {Round 2}

I am so glad I did Project 365 last year...it's about the only thing I blogged regularly about.  I'm still not done uploading and posting from the end of the year, but I plan on getting caught up soon!  Here's to another year!  I upgraded to the Project365 Pro app so that I can hopefully make a book out of all the pictures at the end of the year!

{January 1}
 He wanted to lay in my "bird nest" (circle of my legs) while we watched Brave!  ;)

{January 2}
 Lil boy loves his iPad!

{January 3}
I feel like we've been cooped up inside forever...we finally got out a bit to play outside at KeeKee's!  R loved it!

 {January 4}
 We had a chick date one day before he went back to school...he wanted to trade in his toy for an ice cream cone & insisted I "stand back there" & that he could do it all on his own.  {enter tears here}  Is he really going to be FOUR this year?

{January 5}
I was over at some friends house...and got a sudden urge for coffee!  Luckily they had everything to fill my urge!  I was a HAPPY girl...even though it was like 11 o'clock at night! ;)

What I've learned...

Just a few things I've learned in the last 24-48 hours...  enjoy!  ;)

  • Don't ever think it's a good idea to go workout for the first time in a long time, the day of the Justin Bieber concert.  You will regret it.
  • No matter how late or how tired, or how loud your ears are ringing when you get in from said concert, wash your face Kati Renee.  Take two extra minutes and wash your face, or you will regret it the next night when your face starts to break out.
  • Don't ever think it's a good idea to sub for the first time...ever, the morning after the JB concert either.  You'll survive, it's just not your best idea.
  • When you're asked if you want to sub for Kindergarden...as a Middle Level education major, just say no.  You already know better, or you'd be an Early Childhood major.  Just say no.
  • You just think teaching Kindergarden is easy...those teachers have to be some of the most patient people on this planet. #respect
  • Don't get discouraged about your first day subbing, it literally can't get any worse.
  • When your Justin Bieber alarm clock ringer is going off the morning after his concert, GET UP...IT'S YOUR ALARM, YOU'RE NOT STILL AT HIS CONCERT!!
  • Friday afternoon has never felt so good...even though I'm a student, and don't technically have a "job".
  • Soak up every minute of that JB concert, because it will go by too fast!
Nothing to deep, but pretty important!  ;)

Have a FUN weekend!
