Wintery Weather...

Ever since Christmas I've tried to get Punkin' out to go ride in his wagon.  He LOVES it & can even climb in it himself!  KeeKee & Pops were outside the other day on our way down the street for a walk, so we stopped to see them!  Punkin' just LOVES being outside, & LOVES being with them as well!

I am so glad he actually lets me put this hat on his head, or he'd be one cold little boy!  They are saying we are going to get some snow tomorrow night, so maybe we'll get to have some fun outside in it come Monday morning.  Maybe KeeKee & Uncle G will get out of school too...& we can cook up some yummy chile & have some hot chocolate!  =)

We've had a pretty lazy Saturday, even though I feel like I've gotten a lot done around the house!  It seems like house work is never ending!  I put some chile in the crock pot this morning, & I can't wait to serve it up in a little bit!  I haven't made any yet this winter, which is REALLY surprising!

Punkin' has pretty much consolidated his 2 naps into one now...but a LONG one.  He'll sleep from about 11:30-2 or 3 every day!  WOW!  Which means...he always misses lunch & doesn't even eat till he gets up!

He's been a joy this week, & hasn't been too whiney, which is SO nice!  He has gotten 3-4 molars in & they are just SO cute!  He's finally eating meat again...I just had to learn he doesn't want me to tear pieces up for him any more...he can just eat them whole, because he's a BIG BOY now remember?!

Also...someone went "poo poo shooy" in the big boy potty TWO days this week!  I can tell when he is about to go, & RUUUUUUN him to the bathroom & set him on the toilet!  Poor guy is scared of that bigg'ole hole!  I bought him a lil potty at WM & some Valentine M&Ms as a reward!  We may not start this process for a while, but at least I have all the goodies if we need to!

He also slept last night & today's nap WITHOUT a paci!  Yes...I said that!  I had cut the ends of them off a few days ago so he wouldn't want them...& it worked!  He would look at them & just not even be interested!  So..we'll see how this goes as well!

A lot of big chances are going on...AND I start school in a few days!  PHEWW...gonna be interesting!  :P

Hope ya'll all have a great & enjoyable weekend!

Chick-Fil-A Date! =)

When I heard Chick-Fil-A was giving away spicy chicken bisquits if you "reserved" one I was ALL for it!  It was a perfect excuse for me & my Punkin' to have a Chick-Fil-A date!  :P  Morgan decided to go with us & it was alot of fun!  That is the time to go & let your kids play, while NO one else is there!

He loved the play place & there was only one other little girl in there!  This was the day of the sad Sugar Bowl so we were all decked out our Hog stuff!

We did a little shopping downtown afterwards!  It wasn't too cold & we enjoyed some sunshine!
That night we went over to the Cummin's for some FOOD, FOOTBALL, & FRIENDS!  Punkin' was such a HOOT to them & just kept us ROLLIN'!  He loved exploring a new house & playing with their dogs!  Even though he would try to hit the blind one!  :P  We left there a lil before the game was over, & he was passed out in the car before we even got out of the neighborhood!  Morgan came & spent the night with us after the game.  I was sad to see our Hogs not play so hot, but it was fun for them to get to go to the Sugar Bowl!

We've had a pretty chill week, even though I feel like I have gotten SO much accomplished every day.  We've been getting up earlier, & it's just been really nice to have most of my "chores" done by 11 everyday around the house!  I HAVE to tackle some grocery shopping!  UHH...I hate that!  One week from today I'll have to go back to school.  :(  Don't EVEN want to THINK about that!

Utensil Fun!

My little Punkin' is growing by the day, & the things he can do just amaze me!  He doesn't miss ANYTHING!  He will get my keys & go to the door & try to put them in the door, he knows what toys go together to play with, & many other crazy things that make me realize I don't give him enough credit for his smarts!

He is now eating with utensils!  He has finally gotten it down & LOVES it!
I gave him a chicken & cheese sandwich yesterday & he pulled everything out of the bread & ate it all individually!  This is TOTALLY something I would have done as a kid...so now that's just how it give it to him!  He hasn't eaten much meat lately, so I am glad he is eating it again!  I just needed to learn to not to tear it up for him any more, because he's a big boy now....DUH MOM!
We LOOOOVE our blueberries & bananas!
Funny Story:  I was getting a tenderloin I had been cooking out of the oven & as I open the oven door, I always say "HOT" so he knows not to come near.  I had pulled the loin out & stuck it back in for a few more minutes.  The next thing I knew he had gotten one of the mitts I had used off the counter, put it on & was headed to the oven door, while saying "HOT"....JUST LIKE HIS MAMA!  I thought to myself, goodness gracious I sure am gonna have to watch what he sees me do!  He think he is so much more grown up than he really is! :P

Christmas Day!

Santa came & did his duties, & even ate most of the milk & cookies!  I couldn't wait to go wake Ryder up for him to see what Santa brought him!  Amy, Tonya & Luke were all here, so they were excited for little man as well!

He IS his mother's son, & did NOT want to get up, sweet boy!  :P  It was quite early, because we were supposed to be at my parent's between 9 & 930!

He did not care one single thing about the tent & tunnel, which Santa knew he would JUST LOVE...but he went straight for the xylophone, so that made mommy happy!
We even all took turns going on the tent, to see if he would follow...no such luck.  LOOK at that madness!  :P
Then I let him open some presents from me.  He got some new books, a new sippy, & some pajamas!  He LOVES new clothes actually...lol...
I had decided a while back I wanted to start collecting different Christmas books to have to read to Ryder through out each month of December.  My goal is to have 25, one for each day, & as he gets older, can pick one out of the basket to read each night!  I'm going to get him a new Christmas book each year to add to our collection.  I found Mike Huckabee's children's book at Hastings & knew we had to have it!  It has a great story line that I hope teaches my lil man a lesson or two!  :P

After that we all got ready!  WOW was that CRAZY...one small bathroom with 3 people & a baby...YES--VERY interesting!  :P
We walked across the street to my parent's to see what Santa brought us over there!
All of our stuff is usually sitting out in the living room, but Punkin's was in Uncle G's room so he wouldn't find it before he was supposed to!  He got a little red wagon from "Santa" at KeeKee & Pops, but all he cared about was his shopping cart...his manly shopping cart I might add!  :P
Look at that boy go...already poppin' wheelies!  That kept him entertained the rest of the day...he didn't open one other present himself
...so mommy had twice the work cut out for her in opening presents!  We both got a ton of great things, & I love when my mom pulls off surprises!  She's a great gift giver & Santa always knows JUST what we want!  :P
We ate some yummy breakfast burritos, monkey bread, fruit & some orange juice & just hung out for a while.  It quickly became time for someone to take a nap, so we loaded up all our goodies in our lil red wagon & headed back across the street!--(How handy that thing actually was!)
This is him riding in it for the first time...
Headed across the street for "nap time!"  & yes...all three of us got a good nap!

When Punkin' woke up a few hours later, we headed back to my parent's for Christmas "lunch" & for some fun games!
Santa brought me & G a Kinect for the Xbox to share...with Dance Central & a sports game.  WE.LOVE.IT!  SOOOOO much fun!  We spent most of the afternoon playing that!
Even Pops got up there & played...here they were racing in hurdles...probably my favorite "sport" to play!  HA!

We had a yummy pork tenderloin, rolls, twice baked potato casserole, green beans & many different desserts for Christmas lunch.  We were all stuffed & worn out by the end of the day!  We are so blessed, & I am so thankful for my family & just being able to be with them on Christmas!
For this little guy to get worn out, he must have had a BUSY day...& he did!  He passed out like this while we were playing Kinect & we went home to go to bed shortly after!

Christmas Eve @ Nana & Papaw's!

Christmas Eve we headed up to Nana & Papaw's around noon.  Everybody brings one sweet appetizer & one salty one!  We just munch & munch on everything all afternoon until our bellies are full!  It's always so much fun seeing everybody & playing with all the kiddos!
Ryder has a good time wrestling with some of his cousins...he LOVES being around them!  He'd much rather be hanging out with them than mommy!  :P
We've decorated homemade sugar cookies for as long as I can remember, & this year was no different!  Ryder even made a few, but I think he ate more frosting than he did decorating!

Before openings presents, we always read the Christmas story!  This is such a special time, & we actually discovered we've been reading the same book since 1992!
This was the only present he was interested in opening!  After that...he was done!  Maybe next year he'll want to help me open all his presents!  We both got some wonderful things, & are truly blessed!
This wasn't one of Ryder's presents, but he sure did love it!  Pops is one proud Pops!

This is what Punkin' spent most of the night doing...running around in the trash!  HA!  It's so crazy & chaotic with 12 kids & 8 adults all opening presents at once, it's a lot for a little man to soak in!  :P

{& since their all bad...your getting all 3!}

After we got home from Nana & Papaw's Tonya, Luke & Aunt Kathy were all here waiting on us!  I was ready to put little man down so Santa could come, but of course he wanted to stay up & play!  We set out milk & cookies for Santa & I finally got him to lay down & go to sleep!  Finally Santa & his little elves came to do their work!
