- I ended my long term sub job on Friday February 28th. The next two school days were snow days...including in the district I was schedule to sub in (not the same one I just finished my long term in). It all worked out...it was more time for me to be at home with R while he was recovering from Pneumonia. Wednesday I did a full day of subbing and Thursday I was only down for a half day. The office called me mid morning letting me know Central office had called needing to talk to me, and I needed to call them back ASAP. Long story short, they had a long term sub job for the remainder of the year they were offering to me, and they needed me to stay the next day! I thought about it and talked to a few different people about it...and then TOOK IT!
- Today completed day three of being THROWN in...but it hasn't been bad at all and has actually gone better than I could have imagined and everyone has been so sweet to check in on me and make sure I'm okay! =)
- Did I mention this long term happens to be at my mom's school?! RANDOM huh!? & we have the same lunch...kind of funny! So I get to eat with her and all her crazy friends who group text 24/7--more than me and my friends! :P
- Yesterday...my hair was a disaster (note "coconut oil story" from above...which I will share later!)...so it was up in a big "fancy" bun--but just wasn't looking all that fabulous if you ask me...I normally NEVER wear my hair up because I am self conscious about my
bigears. Anyways...my first "official" day there girl walks up to me, "That yo real hair up on top of yo head?" "Yeah it is." "OH." "Why, does it look nappy?" "Sho does."--All I could do was LAUGH!! - Same girl today while wearing a cardigan with angled bottoms (not square) that happens to have a tie belt that goes with it. "You look like you wore yo bath robe up in hur today." "Well, thank you Mariya."
- The wedding Ryder and I were in January that I
posted about HEREnever posted about... {insert super sad face...but I'll make it up soon!} was blogged about today by the fabulous Lyndsey Sullivan! Her work is above and beYOND and I love that she captured every single detail of that day...you can feel the sweetness and gentleness of that day all over again by looking at the pictures! Allison did a great job planning a BEAUTIFUL wedding and Lyndsey did such an amazing job capturing such fun memories of Allison and Kyle's special day! - We've spent the last two evenings outside playing--I forgot what it was like to come home and not be cooped up inside until the next morning! So thankful for the warmer weather after such a COLD winter!
- A few Ryder quotes for you..."I won't text any girls other than you mom." "One day, when I'm older...I'll take you to a nice restaurant. Like Pitza 4 2." "Mom! My thumbs are on two different sides of my hands!" He is always making me laugh and I try to remember everything he says, but it's not always possible!
- I found out today, he is old enough to play T-Ball/Coach Pitch. Everything is always thrown off because of his birthday, but when I saw Mama Laughlin post a pic of Tucker (born on same day as R) in a baseball uniform...I knew I had to check! So thanks Mama! ;)
- We bought FROZEN Friday night on the iPad and R hasn't watched anything else since then! He is obsessed with rewinding the songs so he can go through and practice them again...here is a little clip of him singing, and make sure you wait till the very end for a SPECIAL treat! ;)

mid week randoms
Welcome to another week of Midweek randoms! I started my in service for my semester of student teaching this week! I am loving it so much and can't wait to meet some of my kiddos tomorrow night at Open House! It's going to be a great semester and I seriously can't believe that I graduate in December! It's been a long road to get here...but I am so glad I am so close to making it!
- I'm linking up with Megan from It's a Wonderful Life...go check out all the other MWR link ups! =)
- My view driving to school on Monday!
- My mentor teacher already has her room all cute and put together! She has so many cute things that I can't wait to recreate one day in my classroom!
- This child is loving being back at school on a regular schedule! He also thinks he needs to put all his tools in his "tool belt"! Ha!
- ...and this is what happens when you go through all the stuff in R's closet that Mimi has gotten him from garage sales over the last year...and realize that those shoes that looked HUGE a year ago...FIT my baby! :( & the baseball pants...they're actually almost too small. Where is the time going? Any other Mamas out there feel this way!?
- On a super salad kick right now! The store was out of chicken so I went with salmon and it's been really good! Avo, toms, cucs, carrots with some Italian dressing! YUMM!
- Driving home after getting R from school I noticed that driving down the same road the clouds looked COMPLETELY different on each side of the road! Pretty interesting huh!?
- I have been trying to get R to try new things and it's been a hit and miss lately....but that's better than all misses! He liked adding a lil almond butter to his bananas last night!
- We played a number puzzle game before taking a bath last night. He is doing great counting, I just want him to start recognizing numbers in number form...so we're working on that!
- and just for kicks....R loves this commercial and watches it on YouTube! He says it all and it's REALLY funny...maybe I can try and record him soon!
Not a lot else going on around here! Just trying to get back into our normal "school" routine and I think we are both really excited!
Happy Hump Day Friends! =)

thursday tid-bits and random catch up
Just a few things to catch you up on around here...ENJOY! =)
- R loves going to the grocery store! He wasn't sure what these lobsters were! I remember going to the store with my mom as a kid and riding in the cart and begging her to go by the lobsters so we could see them!
- Mom had a shrimp boil for us a while back...it was really good! & was just getting us ready for all the yummy food to come at the beach!
- Okay, so we LOVED Despicable Me 2! & I love the lil Minions and so does R! I couldn't help but laugh at this graphic!
- This is R doing his "Minion face"--How funny is that?! THere is a fun free Minion game for the iPad/iPhone. If you have kiddos and don't already have it...get it for them, they'll love it! =)
- iPad time on the couch with my little guy! I guess it's okay he doesn't look like me if he's this cute! :P
- I never shared out "Summer To Do" list on here, but we have been trying to make things off the list as summer is winding down! Make homemade popsicles was on there...and we accomplished that the other day! Love my little helper! (We just used pink lemonade)
- My house was built in the 60's so my AC is in my attic. Well...nothing like opening up your coat closet in the LR (that I rarely open) to see/smell mold all over the walls. Luckily my dad called a friend and he was over in 15 minutes...to only tear down the ceiling in that little closet to discover 30 gallons of water in my drip pan upstairs and telling us I needed a new AC. The workers were literally there the next day from 930 AM-7 PM. It was a mess, but thankful for a new AC and being taken care of!
- Naynee and her friends (her kids...R calls them her "friends") stayed a few nights at my mom's to have a garage sale and we went out to Patron on Friday night. MAN! I love that place. Nothing like their homemade tortillas and cheese dip!
- I had never finger painted with R before...so when he got these little finger paints at school I told him he could play with them after dinner. He LOVED them so much...and that paper ended up turning to complete mush because he used so much paint! Ahhh!!
- Sometimes I just can't help but LAUGH when R comes out of his room in different outfits! He is too funny sometimes! ;)
- He's been begging for these and when I saw them for $4 at Fred's I let him get them...we'll find out if they work soon! Now all he needs are some flippers!

Half Way Haul!
Happy Wednesday friends! It barely feels like Wednesday because of our break on Monday! What a cold and rainy day it is around here! I didn't need a jacket when I left this morning, but I did by the time I got home! I'm just ready for it to be pretty out again!!
Just a few randoms from me today...you know how that goes! :P
I have been on the look out for a nice looking watch (white, black, silver &/or gold) that looked like it wasn't digital, but it was! With subbing and school in general, it's just know to have a digital one! I haven't been able to find one ANYWHERE...so I've just been sticking to my digital IronMan that makes me look semi-athletic. Ha! Well, while looking through SHAPE magazine the other day, I finally spotted the watch!!! It was everything and more I had been wanting! Well when I saw it was GUCCI and "Grammy Special Edition" I kind of got a little bit sad. Sure enough. Only $2,000. :( {Insert sad face here.}
Ryder man out at the river!
Another discovery I made while flipping through a magazine...I am not usually an expensive perfume type of girl...but this stuff smells TOO good!!
Some of Freckle Face Farm's little piglets! They have around 25 piglets right now...I just wanna get my hands on one of those lil munchkins!
The BF took me to Pasta Grill on Saturday night to celebrate Valentine's & OMG this Italian Meatball Spaghetti...words do not describe. This lasted me 3 meals! YUMM! {Had it again tonight for mom's birthday dinner too! ;)}
My wild man sleeping with his Valentine's "Cupig"! It sings the "Cupid Shuffle"...pig version of course! He took it to school on Tuesday and everybody loved it! Ha! I just can't get enough of my sweet boy!
Happy day sweet blog readers! =)

What I've learned...
Just a few things I've learned in the last 24-48 hours... enjoy! ;)
- Don't ever think it's a good idea to go workout for the first time in a long time, the day of the Justin Bieber concert. You will regret it.
- No matter how late or how tired, or how loud your ears are ringing when you get in from said concert, wash your face Kati Renee. Take two extra minutes and wash your face, or you will regret it the next night when your face starts to break out.
- Don't ever think it's a good idea to sub for the first time...ever, the morning after the JB concert either. You'll survive, it's just not your best idea.
- When you're asked if you want to sub for Kindergarden...as a Middle Level education major, just say no. You already know better, or you'd be an Early Childhood major. Just say no.
- You just think teaching Kindergarden is easy...those teachers have to be some of the most patient people on this planet. #respect
- Don't get discouraged about your first day subbing, it literally can't get any worse.
- When your Justin Bieber alarm clock ringer is going off the morning after his concert, GET UP...IT'S YOUR ALARM, YOU'RE NOT STILL AT HIS CONCERT!!
- Friday afternoon has never felt so good...even though I'm a student, and don't technically have a "job".
- Soak up every minute of that JB concert, because it will go by too fast!
Nothing to deep, but pretty important! ;)
Have a FUN weekend!

Saturday Randoms
Just a few random things from our week....I can't squeeze it all into Project 365!
Miss Holly from The Doughmestic Housewife makes some of the most fabulous iced sugar cookies! I love just about every single of one of them...but this one might be my new favorite! I can't wait to have to order a batch from her someday for a shower or party! ;) She can honestly...do it all!!
I don't know if I've ever shared this picture before....but I LOVE it! It's from Luke & Tonya's wedding photo booth back in May & I think he just looks so sweet & innocent. I printed this last weekend to save for a later date to see what Ryder could do & he wanted it then. Next thing I know he had done the whole thing...He's been in school 5 weeks people & I am seriously SO impressed! & he JUST turned 3! We sure do LOVE Snuggle Bug! =)
Some late nights at the computer with my planner & DC working on my lesson plans! ;)
I have always wanted to believe that Nelly the Lockness Monster is TOOOTALLY real-my friend who "believes" too sent me this the other day! Couldn't help but laugh! ;)
Got out my Fall wreath the other day...this might be all the Fall decor I get around to, but that's okay! It's one of my most favorite wreaths I've ever made!
R drew a "giant" on our pantry door the other day. My mom was impressed when she saw it & said that it's very common at that age to not draw bodies on stick people, just a head & legs! Ha! Pretty funny!
Just a typical day in my Advanced Science Concepts class...we were all given tubes & some of us were infected (I was not...) we went around & shared some of our "germs" with other people...and & ended up getting "infected"! Hence the pink tint at the top! Ha! I was a little upset about it too!
Hope y'all have a wonderful Saturday on this first day of FALL! How nice & enjoyable! =)
